H3W – HJ sector.

I’ve officially convinced myself that The Jakobdians- as it is in comic format- is actually kinda crap. SO… The next comic I pull up here will not be a continuation of the Jakobdians. Rather, it’ll be something different.

That being said… I’ve no idea what that “something different” will be. All I know is that it won’t involve Usne- since his story is going to be told in its entirety in my future project “Usne Racot.”

Usne Racot, along with Blood Loss, will instead be made in Halo: Reach… Which is probably why there’s nothing at the moment.

… Well, Drawl Origins is still being made in 3… You know what? Maybe I should hold production until Reach comes out.

But that leaves me with only one option: Make a new comic. I think I’ve got something now. Something intense, something awesome.

Mmm… Yes…

In other news, I had hoped I’d get my required footage for Drawl Origins like… three months ago… and I actually DO… But the footage is crap, especially when I put Drawl into the first few sequences with him moving. (He actually looks pretty kickass by himself, anyway.)

So I got my good ol’ friend to do the recording for me… You know, since he’s got a capture card that’s worth a crap- unlike mine… and I’ve got no available dough for getting myself a new one.

Right… Anyway, comic. Me make. You read. All Happy.

So yeah, I kind of dissolved out of Comics, in case the lack of updates wasn’t an indicator.

I can guarantee that I have not given up on this story. No Sir-ee. No, I’ve got plans.

And news that is relevant to this webcomic.

The first to be noted is that DEAD will be transformed into a motion picture, led by a pal of mine “ODST Sarge.” Those of you unfamiliar should probably check out the machinima series “Unexpected” – which is written by Your’s Truly.

Now I’m not actually taking part in the creation of DEAD. For this one, I’m playing the Alan Moore role, where I give it permission to be developed, but hope in vain that it will “drink venom.” As such, be sure to expect that the story itself will remain the same, but some aspects- if not most- will be changed.

Usne himself is a very important character to me, so my only real involvement- aside from body acting- would be reminding Sarge repeatedly on how the hell Usne rolls.

Now the body-acting tidbit would be strange to me. I did the body acting entirely by myself, except for when I had my brother help me in the Big Finale Car Chase. Even then, that was two people.

My second project is still in the writing stage, but it’s called “Usne Racot.” I’ll let those who still go here to imagine what that’s going to be about.

The biggest project to announce (well, to me, anyway.) is Drawl Origins: The Machinima.

I practically rewrote the whole thing, along with help of a good friend of mine (Daemon of Daemon Productions) to remove any and all ties between it and the Halo canon. Instead, it’s a very similar universe that I’m officially calling “The Drawlniverse.”

Don’t worry, though. Nothing has changed in terms of key plot points. The dialogue has been redone to be a lot crisper, the critters have been… uh… “re-designed” (in the most lazy way imaginable) and the ending will still feature a sneak peek at “The Jakobdians.”

Last, but not least… is Blood Loss.

Yes. You heard me right. I’ll let you all think on that. Blood Loss is still in the writing stages, though, but you’ll be sure to see how Jakob turns out once I get to it.

Also, consider Unexpected to be part of “The Drawlniverse.”

I usually put out pages in bulk. Considering that I have a number of things to do on top of making this comic, I’ll end up spending time making pages in bulk… and releasing them… IN BULK.

The way ComicPress formats is that I put in the specific “date” in the file name, with the name right after it.

As such, considering the release schedule of the comics, it’s one-per-day.

ERGO, since I missed some days, when I release coming in-bulk, the first comic you see is the most-recent one.

THAT DOESN’T NECESSARILY MEAN THAT IT’S THE FIRST ONE YOU SHOULD READ.

The reason: continuity between the first comic you see can differ from the last one you’ve seen since before the update could take place five or seven or nine hundred pages apart.

I’ll try to make sure that the page shown first does not show any spoilers in character development, and works merely as filler in-between BIG THINGS.

PS. The Jakobdians has started taking on a more comedic approach with the recent pages… Mainly because when I was in teams, we almost always had joking attitudes around each other- yet near-hostile emotions towards those out of the group.

It’s a little extreme, but it was possible.

Yeah, got some RL stuff going on, and I can’t put up the effort to pull myself away from ODST and getting to work on Jakobdians.

Also, Page 19 is missing. Should get that fixed up ASAP.

I’m feet-first in hell right now, by the way. Gets rather lonely, slaughtering dudes on solo.

EDIT: I over-thought the problem regarding the lack of Page 19. It turns out that I simply forgot to add it to the upload list.

EDIT2: This comic is more comedy-fuelled than anything, in my opinion. It’ll become more obvious in the upcoming pages.

As you can see in the order of names in the Header, The Jakobdians will be following Drawl Origins.

I currently have fifteen pages of it done. I would be working on them today. But first off, it’s Father’s Day.

Well, despite it being Father’s Day, we all found it more important to work on the best house in the world… and once again, I’m left at home taking care of things.

My second reason as to why I can’t work on it now is because my Xbox is currently at a friend’s house. Will pick it up on Monday.

Anyway, The Jakobdians. Fifteen pages done. I did the naming of the pages for uploading purposes, and guess what.

The fifteenth page will be released on the 22nd. Does anyone get it?

The fifteenth page here will be incredibly useful for those who want to know what The Jakobdians is all about. On that day, a good load of us Halo fans will be romping through New Mombasa, kicking ass in the most bad-ass kind of way: Silent, deadly, and with an AutoMag.

It’s only a page that’s released, one that can be read in less than a minute. A single minute of a distraction will matter little, if at all, when you’re all alone and there are no snipers in sight… or if you’ve got three fellow ODSTs watching corners and rooftops.

Damn, I can’t wait for the tactical awesomeness to come… not to mention Firefight.
